Critter Camp

Send your third through fifth grade kids to our Quebec Street shelter for a howling good time.

From pets to local wildlife, we’ll cover it all!Critter Camp kids Your child will learn how to be safe around animals and work with a variety of shelter animals. Experienced and enthusiastic staff, guest speakers and some cuddly critters will give your child a week of learning through activities, games and crafts.

Spring Camps

Kids entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades can come to our Quebec Street shelter in Denver or Buddy Center in Castle Rock to explore careers in animal welfare.

Junior Volunteer Club

The club is currently full and due to the length of the wait list we are unable to add additional children to the list. Please check back for page updates.

Junior volunteers must be between ages 12 and 15, dependable and responsible, have good communication skills, be willing to take on a variety of tasks and have an enthusiasm for working with people and animals.

Volunteers will work alongside adult volunteers for two hours each month, cleaning animal enclosures, socializing and working with dogs, cats and small mammals.They will meet one Saturday each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There is a $100 fee to join which is due at time of registration. The fee covers a one-year membership in the club.
